This new publication is a compilation work of lecture notes. The author was one of Professor Jao Tsung-i’s students and he attended Professor’s lectures on classical Chinese language, and literature for two years. It was back in 1959, and there were around 50 students enrolled in Chinese Literature course in Department of Chinese Studies of the University of Hong Kong.
